Pop Up Card…

Morning everyone, thanks for stopping by
I have a fabulous paper crafting project today from our very own Dawny
These pop up cards are very popular at the moment and Dawny made this using the Promises papers and some of the flowers and sentiments from our new die cut sheets

Promises Pop Up Box - Dawny

We released some brilliant new craft kits on our Birthday Weekend if you’ve not seen them yet, they include a picnic hamper, a mini basket and a gorgeous fold over tag card
They are all made from the beautiful Promises paper and they are die cut and ready to use. There is also bunting and paper chains, really great for the kids (fab for keeping them occupied in the school holidays) The more experienced crafter will be able to add their own flair, you only need glue and your imagination!!!
The kits all come with full instructions and they all  have a sheet of sentiments and a sheet of flowers for you to decorate your finished  projects. But these are also available to buy on their own. Again these are pop outs and you get 19 sentiments and 39 flowers and these sheets are just  £1 each
You can see the Flower Blossoms here and the Sentiments here

Dawny used a mixture of die cut flowers, rolled roses and our flowers from the blossoms sheet on this amazing card in a box
You can see full details and loads more piccies on her own blog here

There’s still time to enter our May fairy challenge, we’re enjoying seeing all the lovely cards you’ve been making with the new Birthday Fairy stamps as well our our older images

Something different today, this beautiful card was made by Kathy using one of our Handwritten Phrases sentiment stamps

Banner - Kathy

Kathy makes the most gorgeous cards for us using our papers and sentiment stamps

For this card she made her own background using the Pretty Vintage stamps

You can see a tutorial on how she made this card on her own blog here with a list of all the stamps and embellishments she used too

We’re back to normal with our daily candy so leave a comment to be in today’s draw

…I’ll be back later with the winners of our Bank Holiday prizes so make sure you stop by

Morning folks, what are you up to today   …it’s a bank holiday in the UK today so we all get another day off work which makes a lovely long weekend

Just a reminder too that the shop is closed. You can still order as normal on the website but no orders will sent out until tomorrow

I thought I’d share another fairy card today and this is one by Mary J

Mary has a very distinct style all of her own, very pretty and colourful

This is another of our new Birthday Fairy stamps, it’s called Hugs

Hugs - Mary

Mary has used our Promises papers (both patterned and the matching solids) on her card

She’s coloured in the image and then cut it out which gives a lovely depth to the card

The sentiment is from the Simply Sophisticated set

Hope you like it, leave us a comment if you would like to be in our bank holiday draw to win a paper pad (and if you’re lucky it might even be this one!!)

Fairy Tea, and a challenge reminder…

Good morning crafters, I hope you’re all enjoying the long weekend

I have a reminder about our May challenge today, the orders are all shipped now with your Birthday Fairy stamps and we’re starting to see a few cards appearing on the blogs. These stamps are all so cute and we’re please that you’re enjoying using them

The challenge for May is…

…so we want to see all your cards and projects using our new (and old!) fairy stamps and toppers

It closes on May 31st so still plenty of time to enter, and if your stamps haven’t arrived yet they are on their way!

Our Lou made this amazing little project for our birthday event, it’s on a wooden block and is proudly displayed on our counter in the shop

As you would expect from Lou there are some ingenious little touches, she’s used one of the new birthday fairies and this stamp is called Fairy Tea

Fairy Tea - Lou

The ‘Happy Days’ is one of our Pretty Grungy sentiments and the ‘Handmade With Love’ is from Everyday Grungy Messages

Saturday Sketch…

Morning crafters, it’s the start of a lovely long bank holiday weekend so I hope you all have something nice planned
You can place your orders as normal on the website but bear in mind that we won’t start shipping again until we return on Tuesday
Please also note that the shop will be closed on Monday

It’s Saturday so time for a new sketch and today’s card is by Fleur
Sunny Days and Smiles - Fleur

Fleur has used one of our Summer Bears, we brought these out a couple of years ago and they are all so cute, this stamp is called Sunny Days and Smiles
You can see the full range in our Animals section under the rubber stamps heading on the website
The greeting is from Simply Sophisticated and she also sneaked in a couple of Sentiment Tags

Here’s the corresponding Sketch…
Sketch #13

As always a few little changes but the basic layout is the same, which is the idea!
From all the comments we’ve had I think you are finding the Sketches very useful which is great!

Here’s our candy winner from Thursday…
Jennie Furness
Well done Jennie, email your address to

Because it’s a bank holiday and I won’t be around I’ve scheduled the next few posts. I think rather than having to go back and draw a small candy winner every day we’ll have a couple of larger prizes for over the holiday period. I’ll draw 2 winners on Tuesday from the comments left over the weekend and they will each win one of our patterned paper pads
Have a fabulous break everyone!

Theme Thursday…

Morning crafters, time for another Theme Thursday and today it’s another with the same stamp used in different ways

We’ve been all about fairies recently so I thought I’d share some boys cards, for today I’ve chosen the image A Lick Of Paint and 5 very different card styles

Most of the men in my family are/were painters and decorators so as you can imagine I’ve used this adorable stamp quite a lot…

Lick Of Paint - Elise

This first one is by Elise, she cleverly painted in a rainbow of colour and sprinkled some frantage around the image

Lick Of Paint - Gretha

Next is Gretha, she used one of our Statement stamps, a background and tags from the Monsieur set

Lick Of Paint - Jen

This is a simpler card by Jen using a couple of our Sentiment Tags and papers from Country Gent

Lick Of Paint - Lou

Lou made this adorable card, she added a stitched border using a stamp from the Babies Companion set and one of the Scroll Sentiments

Lick Of Paint - Dawny

Last but by no means least is our Dawny and her card was made with Country Gent papers and a circular sentiment from Set 6 Dreamy Days

Hope you like my choices today, this cute little chap is also in the Vintage Boys art pad which is one of our best sellers. It has 30 adorable coloured toppers that are really handy for all your male cards for just £6.00 (and…   postage is free!)

Leave a comment to be in todays candy draw, here are a couple of winners from the beginning of the week…

eghundley (Carla)

Well done, email with your address details

See you tomorrow folks when I’ll have our next card from Diana who is joining us as Guest Designer for May

Have a lovely Thursday all

Watering Can…

Morning all, everyone ok today?

Before today's card news of a sale on our E-bay outlet. Lucy is having a 3 day sale until midnight (UK time) tomorrow and all listings are just £1 each
It's run separately from the LOTV website so postage isn't free on there I'm afraid but it's only charged at cost price, can't say fairer than that! You may get a message saying we don't ship abroad but we do, just request a total when you've finished shopping and Lucy will calculate the postage on your order and send you an invoice. Unfortunately overseas postage is expensive but Lucy is more than happy to quote a price before you commit to buy and the bargains to be had make it well worth while even with the shipping costs. Here's the link to the E-bay store and remember that it's the only official place to get our discontinued stock, lots of our older products can still be found on there that are no longer available on the website

I’ll have our next Guest DT post later in the week, today a fab card using one of our older stamps…
The image is Watering Can and Becky made this gorgeous card…

Watering Can - Becky

Such a cute image and not one I see very often now, I hope this has given you a bit of inspiration for using it
It would be perfect for anyone who enjoys gardening, this one is quite girly but it’s a great stamp for all those tricky male cards too!

Leave your name in the linky for today’s candy draw
Here’s our winner from Sunday…
it was linky entry 8 and that’s you
